Checking the Sails

I checked the main sail and noticed some small tears in it which I will have to sew up. The jib sail doesn't have any tears or holes in it that I can see so that may be ok. Both sails, the blue sail cover, the sail bag and ropes called sheets will have to be thoroughly washed and cleaned.

While I work on the sails I will take the boat out onto the water at the Fremont State Lakes to make sure she won't sink to the bottom! I should have done this before I bought the boat but the previous owner was a small business owner and understandably didn't have the time. I checked the bilge pump and it looks like I may have to replace that and buy a new deep cell marine battery to power the electronics.
